You don't have BYU in yet. They are as good as last year and will win the WCC....what gives? Check out Pomeroy on BYU

The problem for BYU is that they've put themselves in a hole before even starting conference play. Right now their best wins are Oregon and Nevada, and they have a loss to Utah State. Forget the NCAAs, that's borderline for even making the NIT.

I think BYU has a good team this year, but so do Gonzaga and St. Mary's. Right now in kenpom, BYU is #20, St. Mary's is #27, Gonzaga is #29. That's nowhere close to being a significant difference. This early in the year, you can't take rankings like Pomeroy and Sagarin as gospel; there just hasn't been enough games played yet to create a large enough sample size for teams.

Based on seeing the teams play, BYU has looked like the 3rd best team in the WCC so far. With their weak OOC results, they won't be dancing if they finish 3rd.

If BYU does happen to win the WCC regular season (which is definitely possible), they will be in my bracket in March.
